The Pizza Cart

Today I am reviewing a Cedar City favorite, the Pizza Cart. I'll discuss the menu, price, taste, and overall atmosphere so you'll know whether you want to check out this pizza joint or not.

Pizza Cart is one of my favorite grubs in Cedar City. I know, I am decently biased because I have been going here for years. They have pizza, salads, and (my personal favorite) gelato. And when I say gelato... I mean GOOD gelato. So let's get to the actual review.

Menu

At Pizza Cart there is something for the meat lovers, the vegetarians, and the health nuts. On the menu you can find several different pizza, salad, and dessert options. I personally think their pizza and dessert are a huge highlight so let's get into some of my favorites:

Margheroni is essentially a Margherita pizza with pepperoni added. Its thin, chewy crust is topped with a sweeter red sauce base, fresh mozzarella cheese, basil, and pepperoni. It's a lot more filling with the meat addition but still has a super fresh taste.

The Greek is vegetarian but oh-so delicious. It's like you're eating a greek salad... only better because it's pizza! Its baked with a light red sauce and feta cheese, then topped with fresh feta, black olives, olive oil, spices, and herbs.

The Chicken Bacon Ranch is definitely my favorite. This is my usual pizza order because it's filling and super flavorful! It has a ranch sauce base with mozzarella cheese, chicken, diced tomatoes, smoked bacon, and a drizzle of BBQ sauce. I mean what more could you ask for?

Gelato at Pizza Cart is a MUST. I am a huge fan of the ice cream "family" and this gelato quite possibly changed my life. There are a few constant gelato flavors, but you can expect a few new flavors to try each week. Some of my favorites include coconut, passionfruit, pistachio, and lemon sorbet.

Their full menu can be found here and is pretty customizable! You can always add or remove pizza and salad toppings to your liking.

Price

All of the price points are fairly average. The pizzas range from $10 to $13 each and are plenty for one person. I would recommend getting two things off the menu if you wanted to share, as one pizza might not be enough food. Dessert pizzas range from $8 to $9 and are smaller than the regular pizzas.

Salads are offered as half or full sizes and range from $4 to $7.

Gelato is fairly cheap! The small (4 oz) is under $3 and is the perfect size for one person. A little goes a long way with their gelato but they offer sizes small-large. The large is a take-home box with a lid and is $7.50.

Atmosphere

Pizza Cart has now opened up their lobby and seating area for customers. You can order online or over the phone if you want your food to-go. My only bad experience with their service has been long wait times during busier hours. The busiest hours are definitely on weekends or during standard dinner times. When I have ordered online, my pizza has taken longer than expected during busier hours as well. The employees are always friendly and the restaurant has a cozy vibe about it. Overall, I would definitely give Pizza Cart a try if you are looking for great pizza at a reasonable price.
